LX REPORT
"Good News - Our amazing run in the LX knockout cup the 'Ron Ault' continues winning it now for four years in a row with a victory over Bromley Town, played on the neutral green at Bromley Plaistow Lane, by 34 shots to 28. In this years final Rink One was Roy Aston and Bob Govan skipped by Phil Broomfield and Rink Two was Peter Jeffries and Malcolm Whitehead skipped by Bill Mewis. Notably Roy has now played in all four finals. Thanks also go to Charlie Tookey and John Potts who ably assisted the cup squad in earlier rounds.
In the LX League there has been some improvement this month with good wins over Langley and Queens Mead with the result we currently lie 4th out of 17 with two matches to come. This has been our best position in this very strong league for some years since we won it for the first and only time in 1997 under Jack Skinner who we are delighted to record is still playing for us. We are probably not going to win it this year but we still should end up near the top ready for an assault on the title next season in which case it may well be a memorable double." The LX Delegate
LADIES SECTION
Jubilee League
Unfortunately lost both the last 2 games 0-6 to Forest Hill and Sidcup.
NORTH WEST KENT LEAGUES
Not as good a year as some but the very good news for the men is that replacements have been found to take over the running and administration of the League for 2012. The Ladies teams finished runners up in Division 2 to Bromley by 4 points and in Division 4 they finished 5th. The Men’s team in Division 2 were in the top 3 all season and finished 3rd. The Division 7 side finished 6th . In the Knock Out cups the Men’s Division 2 side got to the Quarter Finals losing away to B.I.B.C.O.S. Thanks to all those players who participated throughout the season.

THE ROYAL BRITISH LEGION GAMES
Victory this year to the Legion, winning the first game and drawing the second. Both great evenings as always and many thanks to Dennis Burroughs for the organisation and the usual superb buffets. £600 and £700 were raised on the respective nights in the raffles. Also thanks to the “band of helpers” on the evenings, running the bar and helping with the raffles, ensuring ourselves and all our invited guests had great evenings.
TOUR TO TENBY
No other report was forthcoming but apart from the long journey home (unavoidable) all the talk I heard was of great weather, good bowling and an enjoyable time had by all. Well done Annette and Ken.
