BDBA Triples Champions !
Many congratulations to Peter Jeffries, Jack Skinner (substituting for Bob Radford) and Mike Truan who won the BB&DBA Triples final played on the 19th of September at Muirheads B.C. Despite being 3 - 14 down at one stage to their opponents from Britannic House they scored a five which got them right back into it and then going into the last end one down they managed to get two to win by just one shot - well done lads, there's another one for the honours board!!

LX League
The final two matches of the season both went well for Harry's boys :-
Blackheath & Greenwich Home Won 8 - 2 (80 shots to 54)
Bethlem Away Won 6 - 4 (64 shots to 62)

Incidentally, Harry Garrod has indicated that he is not able to continue next season acting as our LX League Delegate. I would like to take this opportunity of thanking him for all his efforts on behalf of the club.

PCL League
The last three games of the season did not go our way with three defeats :-
Sidcup Away Lost 1 - 6
Eltham Away Lost 1 - 6
Bellingham Home Lost 2 - 5

The Away fixture that Forest Hill cancelled was never played and we understand that we were awarded all 7 points. Our final league position was 11th.

Autumn Cup
The Autumn Cup competition was played off over the two weeks commencing 1st September and 8 teams entered. Fortunately a good spell of weather allowed all matches to be played off in time and the second place was in doubt right up till the final few bowls were delivered. The overall winners were Sheila & John Page (although Jo & Tony Reynolds 'subbed' for them in the last game) and Sam Bolt. In second place were Colin Webb, Angela & Dennis Burroughs. Well done to you all.

Aggregates
The Aggregates played their final match on Thursday 16th of September and afterwards had their closing supper. A very enjoyable evening, organised by Ken Hughes, ended with the presentation of the monthly prizes; 1st - Floss Jessemey, 2nd - Peter Pearce, 3rd - Les Melville and a "special one-off" 4th prize to Annette Hughes.
The overall winners of the season-long competition were 1st - Les Melville & 2nd Ken Hapted.
A special award was made to "young" Reg Chamberlain for all his efforts during the season and, in return, he then presented Ken & Annette Hughes & Mike Wilson with gifts in recognition of their hard work in running the competition. The evening concluded with a sing-song and a bit of light-hearted entertainment from June Jones, Jeanette & Malcolm Whitehead, Doris Lindley, Eileen Stalley and Renee Chamberlain.

Thanks
Thank you to all who helped at the club on Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday 21st - 23rd of September with the "laying up" of the green. It was job well done in very average weather conditions. Let us hope that we see the rewards of your hard work with an excellent playing surface next season.
A number of other chores, including some painting, were done by the willing workers so thanks to all of those who helped out as well.

Help
Our Maintenance Manager, Keith Gall, will probably be looking out for volunteers for various projects in and around the club during the close season so please keep in touch and let him know if you can help out with anything.

A Centenary Committee is in the throws of being formed with Mike Truan kindly volunteering to kick things off and co-ordinate matters. If any of you have ideas about what you would like to be seen done such as special events, fixtures, centenary booklet, badges, ties etc etc then please contact Mike and lets get things rolling.
